We made it! Flights went smoothly with no issues today is just going to be a recovery from jet lag day.
Got checked in for the first leg from Dallas to Montreal and got drinks at the lounge

Had access to the first class lounge in Montreal for our layover, which inclued drinks, a buffet, comfy chairs, and a custom pasta station!

Next was the long flight to Rome, but we each had a pod with lay flat seats to stretch out in.

The people that we are renting the apartment from arranged for a driver to pick us up, so our transition from the airport was easy. I failed to warn my parents though what crazy drivers Italians are, lol. Got settled in, and everyone is napping from jet lag. Tomorrow we will start seeing the sites, and post some fabulous pics!
